We are beyond excited to be releasing the debut album from Australia’s finest cumbia orchestra, Cumbiamuffin, in partnership with our friends at Peace & Rhythm (USA) and Hyperopia Records (Canada).

We loved the energy of Cumbiamuffin as soon as they sent us their demos, this was old-school cumbia full of horns and lively brass, a la the Colombian orchestras of yore, but it was also bang up-to-date with a serious low-end and influences from the Caribbean giving the grooves even more flavour. The fact that we also managed to sneak in remixes from Prince of Queens (USA), Rizomagic (Colombia), Turbo Sonidero (USA) and OYOBI (Australia) has only made this one sweeter, a truly international collaboration for a truly international band. These grooves are universal.
